Betsey McKenzie, owner of Luminous Beauty, brings her own personal love affair with all things beauty to her business. “I’ve always been obsessed with beauty,” she says. While originally she had set her professional sights on becoming a pilot, she soon changed course to pursue her passion. After becoming a licensed aesthetician she transitioned to offering hair and makeup services for events and weddings, and there she hit her stride. Now she has a team of over 20 beauty professionals across two brick and mortar locations, and has recently expanded the business to Honolulu, Hawaii.
