The first session date that had been scheduled with Christie and Ryan turned out to be a cold and rainy day. We ended up rescheduling and I’m so glad we did, because we showed up to this perfect, summery day at James Madison Park!

James Madison Park provides a perfect escape from the city only steps away from downtown Madison.
There are parks galore to pick from throughout Madison - and the Midwest in general - but I really loved James Madison Park for its beautiful lake views. Complete with docks, a waterfront promenade, and a charming boathouse, the park possesses a lovely, quaint sophistication.
Located just a few minutes away from the capitol building in Madison, Wisconsin, this park is a sweet summertime getaway that still has access to all the delights of the city. If you want a mix of city looks and natural landscapes for your engagement session, this is a great fit!
