I’ve said it before and I will assuredly say it again - autumn is my favorite. Especially in Minnesota. The air is just so perfectly crisp, the dying leaves are beautiful to behold and make the most delightful rustling sound as you wander through them, the days are warm and the nights are cold enough for bonfires and cider…what is there not to love?

So I was delighted when this Minneapolis family invited me to join them at their lakeside cabin for a fall session! About an hour north of the Minneapolis area, I was glad to have the excuse to take a early morning drive and enjoy the scenery. This session has become one of my favorites because, being in a space comfortable and familiar to them, this family was able to let their hair down and really be themselves, and I think it shows in the images!
